Ensure that children and young people achieve their fullest potentials by facilitating maximum community participation, ownership and sustainability of programs geared towards the enhancement of their livelihood and quality of life in partnership with relevant stakeholders and complement the effort of Government.

The first 1000 days of a child’s life, is a period which is often referred to as the golden window of opportunity. Investments made during this period have an everlasting impact on the child’s likelihood to survive, thrive, and become a productive member of society. All our programmes, studies and activities contribute to our focus and ethos which aims to exercise the potential of this period in every child’s life

Opening of FOCUS 1000 Office Kambia District

The Newly Appointed Chief Justice of Sierra Leone Hamid Abdulai Cham on 26th February 2016 opens FOCUS 1000 Kambia District Office.

Ebola KAP Study Lead

FOCUS 1000 provided support to the efforts of the Government of Sierra Leone, development partners, and civil society in ending the Ebola Virus Disease (EVD) epidemic in Sierra Leone. With the support of the Centres for Disease Prevention and Control (CDC), UNICEF and the Catholic Relief Services (CRS), FOCUS 1000 conducted a series of  National KAP studies to determine  public knowledge, attitudes, and practices (KAP) relating to EVD Prevention and Medical Care in Sierra Leone. The findings are being used to help inform  national social mobilization efforts.
