Vice President Launches Food and Nutrition Security Implementation Plan

Freetown, 2nd July, 2015 - On Thursday 2nd July, the Vice President, Hon. Victor Foh, launched the Food and Nutrition Security Implementation Plan 2013-2017 at Radisson Blu, Mamie Yoko Hotel in Aberdeen, Freetown. Over 150 government representatives from the Ministry of Health, Parliamentarians, Paramount Chiefs, UN Family, Donor Agencies and Civil Society attended this event hosted by SUN Secretariat.

On 9th July FOCUS 1000 was donated two vehicles from the United Nation’s Mission for Ebola Emergency Response (UNMEER) to support their work to eradicate Ebola and reach and sustain zero cases.

Traditional Healers Union hold 1 day workshop to support reaching Zero Ebola in Sierra Leone


The Sierra Leone Indigenous Traditional Healers Union (SLITHU), in collaboration with FOCUS 1000 and SMAC, on Saturday 27th June 2015 organized a day’s workshop on ‘The Role of Traditional Healers in Ending Ebola in Sierra Leone’ at Hotel 5:10, Kissy in Freetown.The workshop aimed to actively engage traditional healers across the country to scale up their contribution to government and other partners efforts in ending Ebola in the country.
