The quality of Human Resources of FOCUS 1000 is the bedrock on which our organisation stands” this statement was made by Mohammed B. Jalloh Chief Executive Officer FOCUS 1000 during a two day retreat for board members and staff, from Friday 17 to Saturday 18 February 2017 at CHARMS Beach Hotel Aberdeen, Freetown. The meeting brought together over thirty staff members ranging from Programme, Research, Operations and Administration at national level, including six of our board members to review activities conducted in 2016 and plan for 2017.

Mr Jalloh

In reviewing key achievements made during the year 2016, the Chief Executive Officer expressed profound thanks and appreciation to all present for their relentless efforts despite the aftermath of the Ebola Outbreak Diseases in our country, for which the organisation was able to secure few resources including Resilience Zero programme contracted by Oxford Policy Management, Nutrition Advocacy Fund in partnership with Action Contre la Faim (ACF), Saving Lives, GAVI Ebola among others. Building the capacity of some staff through trainings at international and national levels is a continuous process towards achieving the organisation’s objectives, mission and vision statements, CEO went on. On the other hand, the year 2016 was also a challenging year as compared to 2015, for which few staff members ended their contracts with the organisation due to end of those projects.
