FOCUS 1000 held its annual staff retreat at Country Lodge, Hill Station, Freetown, as part of the organization’s commitment to improving the quality of its programmes and interventions.
The retreat was a unique avenue for collective reflection on past successes, challenges, and opportunities in making meaningful contributions towards health and social development in Sierra Leone. All categories of staff – from the CEO to the support staff and drivers — had an equal opportunity to help shape the future of the organization.
A key theme that emerged from the retreat was the need to scale-up the FOCUS 1000 DRAFT approach for improved community engagement and ownership (Dialogue, Reflection, Action-planning, Facilitation, and Tracking-changes).
