FOCUS 1000 and ACF on behalf of SUNI- CSP Platform have ended a one day whorkshop in order to track Sierra Leone’s commitment on nutrition.
The workshop took place at the Hub Conference Hall on Thursday 4th August, 2016.
It could be recalled that in 2013, at the high level Nutrition for Growth (N4G) summit held in London, the Government of Sierra Leone committed, along with other stakeholders, to contribute to preventing 20 million children from stunting and to saving 1.7 million lives by 2020.

Today, as an international media event is happening in Rio (Brazil) in the context of the second N4G, in Sierra Leone stakeholders from the civil society, government, donors and UN agencies are meeting to assess and discuss the progress made so far in the country, and to identify additional efforts needed, based on two analyses conducted by ACF in collaboration with Focus 1000 and the SUN Civil Society Platform.

Participants were drawn from the Directorate of Food and Nutrition Ministry of Health and Sanitation, representative from parliament, Ministry of Agriculture, the Scaling Up Nutrition Secretariat Office of the Vice President, other health partners and members from the media.
